=(: I'm just worried about her.....she cried several times in 2 hours of instagram live

lol: and i certainly dont think shes intentionally being controversial to publicise herself, because as i said, she is a far cry from her pop stardom peak between the arular-matanghi days, even if shes come out with more extreme controversies since.

lol: and during those eras she made (in my opinion) her magnum opus' so i dont really agree with you whatsoever. yes she's controversial, i dont agree with a lot of what she says/does. but i dont think controversy is necessarily what makes her/her projects bad.

lol: i think that, for better or for worse, she is someone that is controversial and has controversial opinions. its easy to criticise her for it now given her stardom has faded, but she was receiving far more criticism during the arular/maya eras.

lol: i think there's a lot you can easily criticise MIA for. i think saying that she uses provocative opinions to promote her art is just flatout wrong. she has been completely shelved from the industry. no amount of controversy can promote her work effectively

lol: i think there'

you need to calm down: It's not her song, it's a song by Major Lazer and it was officially released to celebrate the anniversary of their first album, she never said it was a new song.

TheMenace: The “new” song is just an old mediocre song. MIA has completely lost it at ALL levels. Her recent PROVOCATIVE opinions just confirm what everyone was saying for all of these years=shes just creating controversies to promote her “art”…a TRUE popstar

Switch: M.I.A. and Diplo have controversies, I like seeing them together, it's not like any of them haven't been canceled already haha
Nov 7, 2024 21:47:28 GMT
Switch: I prefer the original Switch remix for Where's the daddy, it seemed more organized to me lol they messed it up a bit in the final version.
Nov 7, 2024 21:45:40 GMT
Switch: there's actually Switch production on Bells Collection, they were working together for the MATA album I believe, but it didint make the cut.
Nov 7, 2024 21:43:32 GMT
lol: nvm just saw that it was switch in the music video for where's the daddy, ignore me glad to see he's still involved with maya. hope for new music in the future between them. switch is a legend.
Nov 7, 2024 19:58:47 GMT
lol: also what is everyone's thoughts of maya working with diplo again given a lot of the controversy that surrounds him? ive seen some major lazer fans shocked at diplo working with maya given some of her past controversies too which is interesting
Nov 7, 2024 13:51:12 GMT
lol: in a long time. hopefully this is a sign that theres more music to come in the future. would also love to see piracy funds terrorism remastered/remixed and if possible uploaded to dsps. that mixtape is amazing. but its unlikely given the sample issues
Nov 7, 2024 13:17:58 GMT
lol: i wish they kept more of prince riddim's original vocals, and i wish the track's production developed / progressed more throughout the track bcos the baby crying sfx got a bit repetetive. but its still a really good track, i think this is maya's best
Nov 7, 2024 13:17:03 GMT
lol: is it fair to say that switch isnt really back working with maya? the song is derived from an old remix switch did (Baby Riddim (Switch Remix)). i would love to see switch work w her again tho, 20 dollar is one of my fav songs of all time
Nov 7, 2024 13:15:11 GMT
daddy: damn they ruined the ending of where's the daddy it was a mess
Nov 7, 2024 3:45:31 GMT
Truth-tella: "Where's the daddy" is really one of the best songs, I'm happy for the release, and especially to see Switch back, he's the best producer that ever worked with her!
Nov 6, 2024 23:18:29 GMT
Truth-tella: She said that besides that, M.I.A. only cared about her own projects, and I told her that wasn't true, since Maya continues to support Afrikan boy and Blaqstarr for example, and she told me that blaqstarr felt the same way.

Truth-tella: No one forced Rye Rye to have an abortion, they just suggested it, since she was about to release an album, was still a teenager and the baby's father was the kind of guy who got involved in shootings.
